Ruth Manimtim-Floresca of CodeRED recently wrote a feature on Isang Bata. Thank you to Ruth and Ms. Romelda Ascutia (EIC) for giving us space. Here are pages 16-18 of the June-August 2011 issue.
We see children eating from the garbage bins. We see unclothed children playing in the rain, under the hot sun, near the highway. We see children working instead of going to school. We see children living in wooden carts, dirty and hungry. We see poor children getting sick. We see babies without clothing, lying on the pavement. We see children in pain, children crying, children broken. We see them everyday.
